Getting Started
How do I create a new trip?
Tap the "+" button on the main screen, enter your destination, travel
dates, and any additional details. You can then start adding flights,
accommodations, activities, and more to your itinerary.
How do I add activities, dining, or other components to my trip?
Open your trip, then tap the relevant category (Activities, Dining,
Lodging, Transportation, or Flights). Tap the "+" button to add a new
item with all the details you need - timing, location, booking
confirmations, and notes.
Can I edit or delete trip details?
Yes! Tap on any item in your trip to view full details. You can edit
information by tapping the edit button, or swipe left on an item to
delete it.
Account & Sign-In
How do I sign in to PlanIt?
PlanIt uses Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In for secure, private
authentication. Simply tap your preferred sign-in method and authorize
with your credentials. Your trips are securely synced across all your
devices.
I'm having trouble signing in. What should I do?
Make sure you're using the same account (Apple ID or Google account) you
originally signed up with. If you're still having issues:
- Check that your sign-in method is enabled in your device settings
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection
- Restart the app and try again
- If using Apple Sign-In, verify you're signed in to iCloud on your device

Can I change my account email?
Your account email is managed through Apple or Google. To change it,
update your email in your Apple ID or Google account settings. The change
will automatically reflect in PlanIt.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings in the
app and select "Delete Account". This action is permanent and cannot be
undone. Alternatively, contact us at
info@planitapp.org
to request account deletion.
Trip Features
Can I access my trips offline?
Yes! PlanIt is designed with offline access in mind. Once you've created
and synced your trip, all details are available even without an internet
connection - perfect for traveling abroad.
Can I share my trip with travel companions?
Yes! You can share your trip itinerary with friends and family. Open your
trip, tap the share icon, and invite others by email. They'll be able to
view and collaborate on the trip planning.
How does expense tracking work?
Each trip has a built-in expense tracker. Add expenses as you go or plan
your budget in advance. PlanIt automatically categorizes expenses by type
(flights, lodging, dining, etc.) and provides a clear overview of your
spending.
How do I use the location search feature?
When adding activities, dining, or lodging, tap the location field to
search for places. PlanIt uses Google Places to help you find and save
accurate location information for your itinerary items.
Subscriptions & Payments
How do I manage my subscription?
PlanIt subscriptions are managed through your Apple App Store account:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Find PlanIt and manage your subscription (cancel, change plan, etc.)
How do I cancel my subscription?
Follow the steps above to access your subscriptions in the App Store,
then tap PlanIt and select "Cancel Subscription". Your subscription will
remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Will I be charged if I delete the app?
Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel
through your App Store subscription settings to stop being charged.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled directly by Apple. Visit
reportaproblem.apple.com,
sign in with your Apple ID, find your PlanIt purchase, and request a
refund. Apple will review your request according to their refund policy.
Technical Support
The app is crashing or not working properly. What should I do?
Try these troubleshooting steps:
- Force close the app and reopen it
- Check that you have the latest version of PlanIt from the App Store
- Restart your device
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection for syncing
- Check that your device has enough storage space
If issues continue, please contact support with details about the problem.
My trips aren't syncing across devices. Why?
Make sure you're signed in with the same account on all devices and have
an active internet connection. Your trips sync automatically when online.
If syncing issues persist, try signing out and back in.
I lost my data. Can I recover it?
If you're signed in with the same account, your data should automatically
sync from our servers. Make sure you have an internet connection and are
logged in with your original account (Apple ID or Google account).
